Ici, on vient en famille avec les enfants et les grands parents. Il y a toutes les activités de montagne mais peu de bars ou d'endroits pour sortir, ce qui en fait une station calme et reposante. Station de moyenne altitude et à l'infrastructure un peu plus vielle comparée à Bansko, elle n'en ai pas moins populaire auprès des famille et des jeunes qui n'arrivent plus à supporter l'excitation de Bansko. Aux Borovets, ce sont majoritairement des bulgares que l'on trouve, à la différence de Bansko qui est le fief des Anglais. Beaucoup d'habitants de Sofia s'y rendent pour le week-end pour échapper au stress de Sofia qui n'est qu'à deux heures de routes.<br /><br />La station a accueilli plusieurs fois la coupe du monde de ski alpin: C'est dire si elle est réputée... l'enneigement est assez bon toute l'année, de décembre à mars, avec en moyenne 1,40 mètres en bas des pistes et 2,20 mètres au sommet.<br /><br />Concernant les 58 km de pistes, vous pourrez vous régaler avec 3 pistes vertes, 2 pistes bleues, 10 pistes rouges et 5 pistes noires.<br /><br />Un projet immobilier est actuellement à l'étude pour améliorer la station et la mettre aux normes des stations des Alpes. Alors que Bansko n’était qu’un tout petit village de montagne il y a encore quelques années, la station a connu un essor considérable et mérité au vu de la beauté de ses paysages et de son atmosphère unique. Elle est même en passe de devenir la capitale européenne du ski low-cost.
